Parking in Akron

• Downtown Akron has several paid parking meters that operate every weekdays and are free to use at weekends and on national holidays. Check signage for operating hours and charges.
• Akron Centre Parking Deck (44308) is a Downtown deck which has more than 1,000 spaces available. It’s situated close to Akron Art Museum and the University of Akron campus.
• Opportunity Park Parking Deck (44311) is open weekdays and has over 900 parking spots. The deck is near to many stores, restaurants and sits just west of the university.

Key roads in Akron

• Interstate 77 (I-77) is the main north-south route through Akron. It links with Canton in the south and both Cleveland and Lake Erie to the north. It runs just to the east of the airport.
• Interstate 76 (I-76) is the primary east-west route in Akron, passing through Downtown. It passes West Branch State Park on the way to Youngstown in the east, eventually reaching Pittsburgh.
• State Route 91 (SR-91) begins on the eastern side of Akron and then goes north, connecting numerous towns and communities on its way to Lake Erie.

How to get from Akron-Canton Regional Airport to Downtown Akron

Downtown Akron is 15 miles from the airport and takes less than 20 minutes.

1. From the airport, drive north on Lauby Road to Landmark Boulevard.
2. Turn right, then keep left to merge onto I-77 N for Akron.
3. After around 11 miles, follow signs for I-76 W / Cleveland.
4. Take Exit 22A for Main Street Downtown.
5. Keep right for S Broadway Street.

How to get from Akron-Canton Regional Airport to Canton

Canton is just 10 miles south of the airport. From the airport fork right and join I-77 S / Canton. Leave I-77 S at Exit 105 for OH-172.

Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens

This National Historic Landmark in Akron was once the home of F.A. Seiberling, one of the Goodyear Tire Company’s co-founders.
