Prize Draw Terms & Conditions:

Entry to this prize draw is automatic with a qualifying rental but the award of a prize is conditional upon your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Prior to any award of the prize, a winner may be required to reconfirm adherence to these terms and conditions.

Promoter and Participants:
 

1.The Promoter is Hertz Europe Limited with registered office address at Hertz House, 11 Vine Street, Uxbridge, UB8 1QE (company number 01008739) (“Hertz”).

2.This prize draw is called: “Turkish Airlines Miles & Smiles prize draw".

3.All entrants (“Participants”) must be aged 21 or over on the date they enter the prize draw, and hold a current, full drivers' license to be eligible. Italian residents may not participate in this Prize Draw.

4.Participants must be Miles & Smiles members and provide a Miles & Smiles number to Hertz to receive their Prize and collect the Miles they win. 

5.Employees of Hertz and Hertz affiliates, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with the administration of this prize draw are not eligible for this prize draw.

6. Hertz reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone who does not agree to or who is in breach of these terms and conditions.

How to participate:

7.The prize draw will be active from 00.01 on 17/06/2024 until 23.59 on 19/07/2024 (“Prize Draw Period”). Rentals booked after the Prize Draw Period will not be entered into the prize draw.

8.To enter this prize draw, simply (a) book a rental during the Prize Draw Period on one of the following websites www.hertz.com (b) during the Prize Draw Period, (c) for a vehicle pick up from 00.01 on 17/06/2024 and drop off by 23.59 on 31/08/2024 using CDP 762055 and PC 211467. You will then automatically receive one entry into the prize draw.

9. Hertz may contact Participants for the purposes of administering this prize draw or in the event that Hertz wishes to verify any relevant information.

10.One entry per person. It is forbidden for a person to use multiple email addresses in an attempt to gain multiple entries. Any duplications will be invalid and will not be entered into the prize draw. Should an individual make more than one booking with Hertz during the Prize Draw Period, only one entry will be registered for the purposes of the prize draw.

11.In the event of unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond its reasonable control, Hertz reserves the right to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this prize draw without prior notice.

The Prize

12.There are 15 prizes available, and 15 winners will be drawn for Miles & Smiles members.

13. Five winners will receive the following prize:

• 50,000 Miles & Smiles Miles, to be credited to their personal Miles & Smiles member account.

14.Ten winners will receive the following prizes:

•24,000 Miles & Smiles Miles, to be credited to their personal Miles & Smiles member account.

15.The prizes are not transferable, exchangeable against another object or against their financial value and can in no way lead to reimbursement of any kind, or any other form of payment, except the Promoter reserves the right to substitute for a prize of comparable value.

16.The Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel or postpone this promotion at any time.

17.Each of the winners will be selected randomly from all valid entries received, by a third party using a computer process that produces random results without access to personal data. 

18.The prize draw will take place at the latest by 10/09/2024.

19.The winner drawn will receive a notification from Hertz by 15/09/2024 informing them about the prize they won, using the email address used during the booking process.

20.The winners must respond to Hertz by email by 25/09/2024 and provide their Miles & Smiles membership number to claim the Prize. The Miles & Smiles Miles will then be credited to the winner’s Miles & Smiles account within 6 weeks of the winner claiming the Prize.

If a winner does not respond to the Promoter by the 25 September 2024 then the winner's prize will be forfeited and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above. The participant is responsible for ensuring the proper management of their email account. Hertz is not liable for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted, or not received by a potential winner for any reason.  

20.If any potential prize winner is found to be ineligible, or if they have not complied with these terms and conditions or declines the prize for any reason prior to award, such potential winner will be disqualified. No alternate winner will be selected.

21.The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control makes it necessary to do so.

Data Protection:

22.Hertz is committed to protecting Participants’ privacy. Any personal information supplied by Participants shall be processed by Hertz or its associated group companies as a data controller in accordance with the Hertz privacy policy for the purposes of administering this prize draw and providing the prize. 23.Personal data supplied during the course of this prize draw may be shared to Turkish Airlines only insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the prize.

General:

24.Hertz reserves the right to refuse to honour any entry or to recover the full value of the prize if it considers there has been an abuse or breach of the terms and conditions of this prize draw.

25.Hertz accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind. The decision of Hertz regarding any aspect of this prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

26.Hertz shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury of any nature howsoever caused,sustained under this prize draw, including but not limited in connection with the prize. However, nothing in these terms shall have the effect of excluding or restricting Hertz’s liability under this prize draw for personal injury or death caused by the proven negligence of its employees or contractors.

27.In the event of a dispute over interpretation or implementation of the rules on any matter related to this prize draw, the decision of the directors of Hertz is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

28.These terms and conditions and this prize draw is governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Terms and conditions

• You must be a Miles&Smiles member to benefit from this offer. 

• Discount applies to time & mileage (excluding VAT and other fees). Discount does not apply to Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft protection (TP) (unless included in the base rate), Vehicle Licensing Fee (VLF), any surcharges (including but not limited to location surcharge or Young Driver Surcharge), taxes or any additional charges and optional extras such as excess waivers (Super Cover), Personal Insurance, snow/chains/tyres, child seats, GPS and fuel which are charged at normal rates.

• Minimum keep 1 day – Maximum keep 28 days.

• This offer is only valid in participating Hertz Locations and is subject to availability.  

• Offer cannot be combined with any other offer, discount or promotion.

• Hertz 24/7 locations and vehicles are not available for this promotion.

• The driver must present a valid credit card and driver's license at pick up. 

• Miles&Smiles members must enter their membership number in the booking process and present their membership card at pick up. 

• All rentals are subject to Hertz’s Rental Terms and Rental Qualifications and Requirements.

• Hertz reserves the right to change or remove this promotion at any time without notice.

• If you make any changes to your rental that will result in a re-quote, it may not qualify for the offer. Changes resulting in a re-quote after 19/07/2024 will not qualify for the offer.
