1. Who is eligible to use Hertz Fast Lane powered by CLEAR?
To take advantage of Hertz Fast Lane, you must have a valid U.S. driver’s license. You must also be a member of Hertz's loyalty program, Gold Plus Rewards.

2. Do I still need my driver’s license when using Hertz Fast Lane?
Yes. Although Hertz Fast Lane uses biometrics to verify your identity and rental reservation, you are still legally required to have your driver’s license on your person to rent from Hertz.

3. Do I need to be a Hertz Gold Plus Rewards member to take advantage of Hertz Fast Lane?
Yes. Hertz Fast Lane is available to Gold Plus Rewards members who have a valid U.S. driver’s license. To take advantage, please link your Hertz Gold Plus Rewards account with your CLEAR account. Once your accounts are linked, and if you meet the qualifications above, you may use Hertz Fast Lane immediately. If you’re not yet a Gold Plus Rewards member, join at hertz.com/joingold. If you don’t have a CLEAR account, simply visit the CLEAR pods at any Hertz Fast Lane or CLEAR location.

5. How do I know if I’ve successfully linked my Gold Plus Rewards and CLEAR accounts?
Both Hertz and CLEAR will send confirmation emails once you successfully link your accounts. You may also verify online via your CLEAR profile at www.clearme.com.

6. What are the benefits of Hertz Fast Lane?
We’re always looking for ways to get customers on the road faster. With Hertz Fast Lane, you can exit the Hertz lot in 30 seconds or less* – saving time. Additionally, Gold Plus Rewards members who create a CLEAR account to take advantage of Hertz Fast Lane can upgrade to receive a free trial of CLEAR airport access:

Platinum members receive a FREE six-month trial;
President Circle members receive a FREE four-month trial;
Five Star members receive a FREE two-month trial; and
Basic Gold members receive a FREE one-month trial.

Once your trial period is over, you can keep your CLEAR airport access for the preferred price of $129 for one year. Trial and promotional pricing are only available for first time CLEAR members.

8. How does Hertz Fast Lane work?
Hertz Fast Lane completes your rental transaction using biometric technology provided by CLEAR to verify your identity. Specifically, when you approach the exit gate, you will roll down your window and follow the CLEAR kiosk prompts. CLEAR verifies your biometrics – through facial authentication. Once your biometrics are confirmed, the gate opens automatically and allows you to exit.

9. What is CLEAR?
CLEAR is a service that offers expedited ID verification using biometrics. Your free CLEAR account can be used to access the Hertz Fast Lane, and quickly enter stadiums and other venues throughout the US. A paid CLEAR account is required to expedite your airport security process.

10. What are biometrics?
Biometric verification is a means to uniquely identify a person by using unique biological characteristics. Hertz Fast Lane will use facial biometrics from your CLEAR profile to identify you and confirm your reservation.

11. Who has access to the biometric information CLEAR collects?
CLEAR will not share its biometric data with Hertz. Hertz will obtain a unique linked ID with no additional biometric information from CLEAR. This ID will allow you to complete your rental transaction. However, upon verification (at the kiosk), CLEAR will share your first name, last name and link ID so we can confirm your reservation.

12. Is my information safe with CLEAR?
Privacy and security are at the center of CLEAR’s values. Members’ information will never be sold and is only used to administer the services offered by CLEAR. You can learn more about this at clearme.com/privacy_policy.

13. How much does a CLEAR membership cost?
For Gold Plus Rewards members looking to use Hertz Fast Lane, creating a CLEAR account is free. Additionally, Gold Plus Rewards members enrolling in CLEAR for the first time to take advantage of Hertz Fast Lane can upgrade to receive a free trial of CLEAR’s airport service by tier:

Platinum members receive a six-month trial;
President Circle members receive a four-month trial;

Five Star members receive a two-month trial; and

Basic Gold members receive a one-month trial.

After the CLEAR trial period, using Hertz Fast Lane will remain free for Gold Plus Rewards members. However, to continue taking advantage of CLEAR’s accelerated screening at airport security, Hertz members are eligible for an preferred annual rate of $129 per year (promotional pricing only available for first time CLEAR members).

14. How do I take advantage of my free trial membership?
Once you qualify, you will receive a personalized code via e-mail. You may then register this code at www.clearme.com or by visiting any CLEAR pod.

15. What other benefits does CLEAR provide?
CLEAR members can experience accelerated identity screenings at 35+ airports and arenas nationwide, with new locations added all the time.

16. How long does it take to enroll with CLEAR?
Mere minutes – then your account is ready for use immediately.

17. Do other rental car companies have a relationship with CLEAR?
No. Hertz has an exclusive relationship with CLEAR.

18. May I use Hertz Fast Lane powered by CLEAR and purchase additional value-added services or report issues with my car?
Unfortunately, this capability is not yet available. However, we hope to add this functionality soon.

20. Do you offer a special CLEAR rate for Hertz Gold Plus Rewards members? How do I get it?
Yes! Hertz Gold Plus Rewards members enrolling in CLEAR for the first time are eligible for a complimentary membership trial and preferred pricing of $129/ year based on your Hertz Gold Plus Rewards status (see below). You can enroll onsite at any Hertz Fast Lane or CLEAR location.

Hertz Platinum	6 months complimentary → $129
Hertz President’s Circle	4 months complimentary → $129
Hertz Five Star	2 months complimentary → $129
Hertz Gold	1 month complimentary → $129

Hertz Gold Plus Rewards members who are also Delta SkyMiles members can add their SkyMiles membership to their newly created account by going to http://bit.ly/CLEARxDeltaSKM. Once the SkyMiles number is added, the Delta pricing will be applied to your upcoming CLEAR renewal.
