One of the ten longest wooden coasters in the world Holding the record as one of the longest and fastest wooden roller coasters in the state, Shivering Timbers is the star attraction at Michigan’s Adventure. It was developed and built by Custom Coasters has shivered the timbers of adrenaline seekers since 1998. With a max speed of 65mph and a whopping 122 foot drop, this ride gives plenty of ‘airtime’ for those who enjoy the butterflies in their stomach.

Unusually for a roller coaster, the Phantom has his revenge on the second drop of the ride, which is steeper than the first due to hilly terrain on which the park was built. The ‘Revenge’ part of the name was given to the ride as it replaced the Steel Phantom back in 2001. Now taller and faster, the improved 232-foot coaster offers thrills like no other.

With a track length in excess of 4,124 feet metres, the Banshee at Kings Island, Ohio, is the world’s longest steel inverted coaster.
