  • Interstate 75 (I-75) runs through central Detroit and spans across the US, from Michigan to Florida.
  • Interstate 94 (I-94) runs east to west from Detroit through Chicago and to Montana.

How to Get From Detroit Metro Wayne County Airport to The Henry Ford Museum

No trip to Detroit is complete without a visit to the Henry Ford Museum, located at 20900 Oakwood Boulevard, Dearborn, MI 48124 – just 15 minutes from the airport.

  1. When leaving our parking lot, turn left onto Middlebelt Road.
  2. Turn right at the slip road to join the I-94 E.
  3. Leave the interstate at exit 204 and merge onto the M-39.
  4. Take exit 4 to join Oakwood Boulevard – the Henry Ford Museum parking lot will be on your left.

 

How to Get From Detroit to Chicago

The Windy City is just over four hours away when you rent a car from Detroit. Take an American road trip through Michigan along the I-94, following it around Lake Michigan to reach Chicago – around 283 miles in total.
